Post Brexit Import Tax & EU Documentation Fees

Since 31st December 2020 and now the real impact of Brexit is kicking in we need to draw your attention to issues associated with inbound parcels from the UK.

PO Box customer items are slowly arriving from the UK at the Postshop but some courier services are demanding import tax fees or non EU documentation fees.

We will NOT make the payments on your behalf!

If you have ordered items or are awaiting a delivery from the UK, please check there are no hidden charges associated with delivery to Spain such as import tax or customs declaration documentation fee etc., also please inform us ahead of the delivery.

To minimise these costs, you could order from Spain & EU providers.

If an item arrives from UK that requires additional payments, we will contact you for you to immediately pay the additional fee. If you do not wish to pay or we cannot contact you, the items will NOT be received and returned to sender.

Brexit News Inbound Mail Service Offex

We have received a message from Offex with respect to inbound mail.

Offex regret to inform us due to the current uncertainty with regards Customs tariffs and procedures for goods arriving from the UK they will be temporarily suspending inbound service for parcels week ending 01/01/2021

They will still provide the service for letters and other items containing printed matter which are addressed to your exiting inbound mail address. i.e Royal Mail address Gatwick, or the Courier address Global House.

As there will certainly be IVA payable on some imports such as items from Amazon UK, we suggest until the situation is clear you use Amazon ES and have the items delivered to your post box here at the Postshop Albox.

It is worth noting, if you use the Chrome web browser, it can auto translate Amazon ES into English.

Any concerns or confusion, do not hesitate to contact us here at the Postshop Albox.
